Before departure
The trail starts at Contrapone, in the hills above Cava de’ Tirreni. Here you will find the available travel options.
For early arrivals: Thursday in Cava de’ Tirreni. Along the route: Friday in Agerola and Saturday around Colli di Fontanelle–Colli di San Pietro.
Footwear, technical clothing, water and personal equipment must be suitable for three consecutive hiking days.
How to get here
Cava de’ Tirreni is the gateway town. The trail starts in the Contrapone area.
From Naples
Regional and metropolitan trains leave from Napoli Centrale–Piazza Garibaldi and, on some services, Napoli Campi Flegrei, on the line towards Salerno.
From the station
Busitalia urban route 65 connects Metropark and Cava railway station with Passiano, San Martino and Contrapone.

From the station or central Cava, a taxi can take you directly to Contrapone. Advance booking is recommended.

Take the A3 Naples–Salerno motorway, exit at Cava de’ Tirreni and continue towards Contrapone.
The route ends at Punta Campanella, so drivers must arrange to recover their vehicle in advance.
From farther away
Take Alibus to Napoli Centrale, a train to Cava de’ Tirreni, then route 65 or a taxi to Contrapone.

The Pass includes the guided trek and official Kit, while accommodation, meals and transfers remain the participant’s responsibility. The Vette e Baite package brings guiding, accommodation and services together in one complete experience.
An optional Night 0 in Cava de’ Tirreni is available for those arriving the day before. The overnight stops are then Agerola after stage one and Colli di Fontanelle or Colli di San Pietro after stage two. The list of participating accommodation providers will be updated progressively.
Pass holders organise their luggage independently. Any dedicated services and operational details will be shared with confirmed participants.
Return options and times will be provided in the Participant Guide. Transfers and shuttle services are not included with the Pass.
The Pass covers the complete three-day itinerary. Any different options will be announced exclusively by the organisers.
This is a demanding walk requiring training, experience of consecutive long hiking days and suitable equipment.
